Taekwondo Prepares For Mini Games

Solomon Island Taekwondo athletes have set their focus towards the upcoming Pacific Mini Games next month, December.

Speaking to RAW SPORTS, Taekwondo President, Junior Siosi said that they have already forwarded their list of athletes to the National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands (NOCSI) waiting final confirmation by the end of the week.

The president confirmed 8 athletes 7 males and a female.

“We are continuing with our intensive trainings, which runs 3 days a week. We also included old athletes who have participated at the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea (PNG) and few new ones for the Mini games this year,” Siosi confirmed.

“This week we’ve engaged in fitness training and will continue throughout next week.

He added that he believes his athletes are medal prospects representing the country.

“The athletes are on high hopes and confident ahead.

Training venues at the Multi Purpose hall and Hyundai Mall.
